Jayant Parikh was born in 1940. He obtained diploma in painting from Faculty of Fine Arts. M.S. University Baroda in 1962. Won Govt. of India Cultural Fellowship in 1963-65 and Research fellowship in painting, 1970-80. Held one man shows in Bombay and Baroda and also participated in various international group shows in Leipzig, Saigon, Paris, Philippines, Poland and Berlin. He executed several murals for public and private sectors in India. Won several awards at national and international exhibitions between 1959 and 1980. His works are in the collections of man public galleries, museums, private sector corporations as well as individuals in India and abroad. He is currently working and residing in Baroda, Gujarat.
